HOT AIR AFFAIR: RISING ABOVE CANCER
 

We are very excited to announce the Rocky River Plantation and Cancer Association of Anderson’s 2nd Annual INAUGURAL HOT AIR AFFAIR: RISING ABOVE CANCER and want you to be a part of it! The date is May 3-4, 2019.

The weekend will be filled with more than 24 hot air balloons. Anderson, SC provides a great flying area, good weather and an enthusiastic local crowd. We are planning a fun, easy going event to benefit the families of Anderson County, SC that are fighting Cancer.

The venue, Rocky River Plantation is a large, beautiful property, which I’m sure you will enjoy. Part of the event will include a large Car Show and great food vendors as well as music, a Kids Zone, Mobile Teddy Bear, Beer Garden, Special Saturday night Concert by the fabulous Combo Kings and many other attractions geared toward Derby Day, Cinco de Mayo and of course, the beautiful hot air balloons!

Saturday will be a day of flying! Saturday evening will feature a Celebration of Life & Remembrance Ceremony with a butterfly release sponsored by Patriot Hospice. Also, Congressman Jeff Duncan will be jumping into the venue on Saturday evening with the Special Forces Association Parachute Team! AND Many more fun surprises are in store during the weekend.

All involved are especially dedicated to this event because it is for a cause near and dear to our hearts and family. The Cancer Association of Anderson provides much needed support to the people in Anderson County that face daily challenges in fighting this terrible disease. Please say you'll come and be a part of this wonderful event!

Admission is FREE! Spectator Parking is $10 - these funds will directly benefit  the Cancer Association of Anderson and our local cancer patients!

Here is the schedule as we know it right now. Please remember times are approximate and subject to weather conditions. Admission is free but there is a $10 parking fee per car. Parking will be across the street and we will have buses to bring you over safely. There will be Anderson Police directing traffic. Get ready to have some fun!!! And thank you all for your support so that we can continue to help Anderson County residents battling cancer!
